Web app development in Baku

Platforms, marketplaces, customer portals and internal systems built around your business goal. The studio is based in Baku; our clients include companies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the UAE and Russia, and we run projects remotely as well.

A web app differs from a website not in size but in what happens inside it. A website tells people about the company and brings in enquiries. An app carries the work itself: every user has a role and a set of rights, every request or deal moves through explicit statuses, one side sees what the other does, and the data has to add up at any moment. That is what we build: platforms and marketplaces, customer portals, internal record-keeping systems, CRMs and ERPs shaped around how your company actually works.

We build on our own code rather than a site builder: Next.js and React on the interface side, Node.js (NestJS) or Python (Django) on the server side, PostgreSQL for the data. We connect online payments, buy-in-credit via banks, data exchange with partners over an API and exports into your reporting. Where it matters, we add real-time updates: one user’s action appears for another without a page reload.

The most underrated part of the work is access rights. A working system almost always holds data a given user must not see: another party’s deal price, a client’s contacts, someone else’s documents. We make that a rule inside the data itself instead of hiding a button in the interface, and we cover it with automated tests. You can open a finished example and click around: our Construction marketplace case comes with a public demo that needs no registration.

02What’s included

  • Roles and personal dashboards Different user types with their own screens: client, contractor, manager, administrator.
  • Business logic with statuses Explicit steps for a request or a deal and the rules between them: the system will not let a step be skipped or done twice.
  • Access rights to the data Who sees what is decided by the server, not by a hidden button. Other people’s prices, documents and contacts never reach the browser at all.
  • Admin panel Manage users, reference data and content without a developer.
  • Integrations Online payments, buy-in-credit via banks, third-party APIs, data exchange with partners and exports.
  • Files and documents Upload, storage and delivery of files by access right, with size limits and content checks.
  • Real-time updates A change made by one user shows up for another without reloading the page.
  • Notifications In-app events with an unread counter; email and messengers where needed.
  • Automated tests Access rules and status transitions are covered by tests: this is exactly what you cannot re-check by eye after every change.
  • Deployment and launch We deploy, connect the domain, set up backups and go live.

Your logic, not a boxed product

Off-the-shelf platforms work well while the process stays standard. The moment you have your own approval order or your own role, people start working around the box by hand, and the system stops reflecting reality. Custom code has no such boundary.

Tests as part of delivery

Access rights and statuses are the places where a mistake is invisible on screen and surfaces at the client. We cover them with automated tests, so a change in one place does not quietly break another.

05How we work

Contract and payment

We work under an official contract between companies. Payment is split into stages: a project of this size is not delivered in one drop, and you pay for accepted stages rather than for everything up front.

Timeline

We name the exact timeline after the brief: it depends on the number of roles, the number of statuses and the external systems to connect to. A real reference point: a marketplace with two dashboards, a six-status deal, files and real-time updates took four months of development plus acceptance testing on the client side.

What we need from you

A description of how the process runs today: who makes which decisions, where information gets lost now, and what each side should be able to see. From that we build the map of roles and statuses, and it is approved before any code is written.

After launch

A system people use every day cannot be delivered and forgotten. What follows is support: fixes, new sections and changes as the process itself changes. Terms are agreed separately from development.

06Frequently asked questions

How is a web app different from a website?

A website tells people about the company and collects enquiries. An app is where the work happens: there is a login, roles, access rights and statuses a request or a deal passes through. If you need a customer portal, internal record-keeping or a place where two sides meet, that is an app, not a website.

What does the price depend on?

It starts at 25,000 AZN, about $14,700. The final figure depends on three things: how many user roles there are, how many steps a request or deal goes through, and which external systems have to be connected (a bank, a payment provider, a partner API, accounting). We give the exact quote after the brief.

Can we see finished work?

Yes. Our portfolio includes the Construction marketplace case with a public demo version: no registration needed, the sign-in page carries ready accounts for the client and the companies, and the button signs you straight in.

Can you extend a system we already have?

Yes, we do not only build from scratch. We extend live systems and connect them to other services: bank integrations, online payments, partner sync over an API, process automation.

Do you develop mobile apps?

Yes - with React Native: one codebase runs on both iOS and Android.

What technologies do you build with?

For the backend we use Python/Django and Node.js (NestJS); for web and mobile apps we use React and React Native. We build custom CRMs, marketplaces, and complex systems end to end.

What are your development timelines?

A website takes from 2 weeks. Complex systems and mobile apps take longer - we agree on timelines upfront based on your scope.

Do you work with clients from other countries?

Yes. We are based in Baku, Azerbaijan, but we run projects for clients worldwide in Russian, English, and Azerbaijani.
