About the client
Ogni Baku is an Azerbaijani cuisine restaurant in Astrakhan. The job of the site is simple and typical for hospitality: someone finds the place in search or by name and needs to see the menu, get a feel for the atmosphere and find the address and phone number.
What we did
- Built a landing site from scratch, with no templates or ready-made themes: home, menu page, contacts page.
- Wrote clean code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - the site is lightweight and opens fast even on mobile data.
- Made the layout responsive: most restaurant visitors open the site on a phone.
- Added a dynamic rotating image on the homepage - an accent that brings the page to life without heavy animation.
- Set up SEO and indexing for both Google and Yandex - for a Russian audience, Yandex is mandatory.
- Designed a proper 404 page so a broken link never looks like a broken site.
- Hosted the project on Google Cloud.
Design and structure
The design was developed together with the client. A restaurant does not need a big website - it needs a short, convincing one: three pages, large food photography, a readable menu and one-click contacts. Everything else was left out on purpose, so nothing dilutes the main action - visiting or calling.
Timeline and process
About a week and a half from layout to launch. Delivered in April 2024.
